dinnerfox is a small, invite-only family meal planner. This page says plainly what we store and what we do with it.

What we store

  • Family profiles: the names (often first names or nicknames), optional emoji avatars and optional email addresses you enter for your household's members โ€” including children, if you add them. You choose what to enter; nicknames are fine.
  • Meal data: your meals, ingredients, plans, shopping lists, ratings, comments, routines and freezer inventory.
  • Technical basics: a session cookie so your device stays signed in, and standard server logs. No advertising trackers, no analytics scripts.

Where it lives

Each household's data sits in its own separate database on a private server we control. No other family can see your data, and we don't look at it except to fix a problem you've reported.

AI features

Recipe imports, discovery and shopping-list sorting send the relevant text (a recipe page, your item names) to Anthropic's Claude API to be processed. Anthropic does not train on this data. AI features never send your family members' names or emails.

What we never do

  • Sell or share your data with anyone.
  • Send marketing email โ€” only the emails you trigger (sign-in links, rating prompts, reminders).
  • Show ads.

Your data, your call

Want a copy of your household's data, or want it deleted entirely? Email us and it's done โ€” deletion means your household's database file is removed, including from backups within 14 days (our backup retention window).
